______________

Do you wear your heart on your sleeve? Wearing your heart on your sleeve is to be vulnerable, to be present, and to show your whole and authentic self.

If this sounds like you... Come gather in the spirit of love... we'll create poems, share, and listen to stories of self-love, tough love, love lost, brotherly love, and sisterly affection.

What are we going to do? Sit at the table, TOGETHER – listen -to each other - to music, make poetry, and create art that speaks to our mutually LOVING experiences.
Why are we doing it? For ALL OF US TO SHARE... to see and feel ourselves in a good, uplifting, and generous spotlight.. a LOVING one! You know... L.O.V.E?

Heart On Your Sleeve (HOYS) is a winterlong (November 2022 - April 2023) public art and poetry initiative focused on the themes of care and renewal. This six-month project brings together Philadelphia Poets and Artists to co-create compassionate works that appear on insulated take-out coffee sleeves and in public artworks at Elixr Coffee. The project aims to bring the perspectives of poets and artists to the public in small and meaningful ways this winter through an uplifting poem, an inspiring piece of public art, or a new piece of clothing. Heart On Your Sleeve is organized by Molly Gross & Ryan Strand Greenberg with support by Elixr Coffee and The Poetry Project.

Poets: Sojourner Ahebee, Dilruba Ahmed, Husnaa Haajarah Hashim, Sham-e-Ali Nayeem, Ursula Rucker, and Eleanor Wilner Artists: Jonai Gibson-Selix, Hester Stinnett and Destiny Palmer.
